Abstract: The quantitative composition of fluoride and lead compounds emissions depending on the composition of the electrolyte for electrochemical processing of lead-acid car batteries was studied. The dependence of the content of lead fluorides and compounds in the emissions on the concentration of fluorosilicic acid and its lead salt has developed. It has been shown that lead emissions make up only 10 % of total emissions to atmospheric air, and the presence of fluorides in emissions by 89 % is due to the acid content of the electrolyte. It has been established that the amount of fluoride and lead compounds emissions from the electrolyte mirror does not depend on the density of the applied current.

Keywords: emissions of pollutants, lead-acid batteries, electrochemical processing, lead compounds, fluorides.
