Geodetic Monitoring of Power Line Wires Under the Influence of Various Factors

Abstract: The accuracy of determining the overall dimensions of the wires of overhead power lines, which are simultaneously influenced by various external factors, is calculated. It is established that the greatest simultaneous influence on the accuracy of measurements is the inaccurate projection of the monitored wire point onto the crossed object, the non-perpendicularity of the instrument’s sight line to the longitudinal axis of the transmission line, instrumental errors. The parameters of the measurement procedure are determined, under which the influence of various external factors does not exceed the permissible values.
