Abstract: This article discusses the socio-economic effect that can be obtained as a result of new construction, as well as the reconstruction and modernization of specialized industrial enterprises for the visually impaired. Attention is focused on the acute economic and social problems of industrial cities in the Donetsk region, which can be solved in the process of reconstruction of the objects under study. Based on the analyzed data, a conclusion is made about the importance and significance of specialized industrial enterprises for the blind.
