Abstract: The article is devoted to the choice of the method of dismantling of a panel residential building. Two main methods are considered – the mechanized demolition process and the elementwise dismantling of the building. The advantages and disadvantages of each method were studied. Leading machines and mechanisms were selected, the cost of their rent and operation was determined. A 5-storey large-panel four-driveway residential building located in the «Khimik» micro district in the city of Makeyevka was chosen as the object of study. The technical and economic indicators of the selected methods are determined; the residual value of the dismantled structures is clarified. Analysis of the operating time of the main machines showed that cranes are used inefficiently when dismantled by element. In addition, it is necessary to take into account the density of urban development, the availability of leading cars and mechanisms in the region, etc. Therefore, further research is needed to create a rational scheme for dismantling not only one building, but also an entire neighborhood, taking into account all factors and requirements.

Keywords: methods of dismantling buildings, elementwise dismantling of structures, demolition of buil-dings, technical and economic indicators of dismantling.
