Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of the author’s experience in reconstruction of the blast furnace complex in the functioning manufacture conditions. The scheme of a real construction site with indication the location of main elements has been shown. Principles of organizing of construction site and construction process management have been discussed in the text. Also it has been described and discussed in detail the proposed technological solutions to ensure a process of pre-assembly, assembly and sliding the blast furnace, as follows: using temporary inventory overpasses for the delivery of structural units from the place of enlargement to the construction site; structure, location and working principle of a temporary stand for enlargement of a blast furnace; the list and purpose of used construction cranes are also outlined and detailed in the article. In addition, the article deals with the reconstruction of auxiliary structures, such as a dust collector. The process of moving the furnace to the design position is described directly and conclusions are made about the feasibility of using the selected technological solutions.

Keywords: blast furnace, sliding technology, block assembly, pre-assembly, enlargement stand, tempo-rary overpass, cramped conditions.
