Crushed Stone-Mastic Asphalt Concrete, Modified with Rubber Thermoelastoplast
Abstract: The paper presents the results of research on the physical and mechanical properties of crushed-mastic asphalt concrete of the schma-10 and schma-15 grades, modified with a highly effective modifier-stabilizer – rubber thermoelastoplast (RTEP). The amount of RTEP additive varied from 0.1 to 0.5% of the weight of mineral materials in the crushed stone-mastic mixture. Graphically, the dependencies that determine the effect of the RTEP additive content on water resistance, compressive strength at 50°C, and tensile strength at split at 0°C of crushed-mastic asphalt concrete are presented. Generalizing conclusions about increasing the service life of asphalt concrete coatings when using a complex modifier-stabilizer RTEP in crushed stone-mastic mixtures are formulated.
