Architecture of a Modern Industrial City: Features of Formation and Development
Abstract: The article discusses the state of visual-spatial perception of the urban environment in the industrial cities of the Donetsk – Makeevka agglomeration. Currently, great attention is paid to studying the problems of the visual image of the urban environment and space, requiring quick solutions and the creation of an appropriate scientific basis. The problems of creating a harmonious comfortable environment in the Donbass, taking into account visual perception, can be considered a poorly studied topic. The importance of solving this problem has grown significantly in recent decades. The problem of implementing the principles of visual and spatial rehabilitation of modern industrial cities requires a comprehensive solution. Elongated buildings do not always fit well and successfully into the environment, as design engineers often do not analyze how buildings look from the perspective of a new spatial perception, which eventually becomes negative. The urban environment should be adapted both with the help of urban planning and architectural design, and the use of architectural and design components in the general system of architectural design will create an optimal, artistically integrated, and aesthetically advanced environment.
