Abstract: This article discusses the formation of open urban spaces in a densely built-up urban area. A comparative analysis is given between the formation of pocket parks and mini-parks. But special emphasis is placed on the study of the organization of the yard space for a mini Park. Their functional purpose, zoning and ways of creating them are considered. Mini-parks in the structure of residential buildings are a powerful tool for restoring public life in urbanized areas. They ensure the creation of a compact, comfortable outdoor recreation area, thereby improving the physical and psychological state of a person. Scientists have proven that urban green spaces promote human health and well-being. Also, these mini-parks are an effective and low-cost way to create public green spaces in the structure of residential development.
