Abstract: The article provides a comparative analysis of various regulatory documents on standardizing the accuracy of determining the roll of chimneys under construction and operating conditions. It was found that some regulatory documents are in conflict with each other. The requirement that the ratio of the limit roll to the error of its measurement be equal to 5 or more has not been met. Options for solving this problem are presented. To reduce the influence of strict requirements for the accuracy of determining the roll of chimneys under construction with a height of up to 100 m, it is proposed to express the error in determining the roll by a linear function that eliminates this drawback. As a result of an extensive discussion of the article, it is proposed to find an optimal solution to the problem of normalizing the accuracy of determining the roll of not only chimneys, but also other types of high-rise tower-type structures.
