Features of the Design of Multifunctional Cultural and Educational Centers

Abstract: The article is devoted to the consideration of the tasks, goals and principles of designing multifunctional cultural and educational centers and the sphere of culture as a whole; the circumstances of designing in the field of culture are presented, taking into account its features; analyzed the concept of «cultural infrastructure», as well as factors influencing the definition of its criteria and directions; the concept of «leisure activity» and its role in the formation of the personality are indicated; the types of leisure activities are considered as the leading aspect of the formation of the architectural and artistic appearance of the building and their influence on the architectural and planning structure of cultural centers; their design features, dependence on certain factors, type of activity and functions, as well as means of achieving the goals set are identified; specific principles of socio-cultural design and their functions are defined; the relevance of creating structures of this type in the structure of the urban environment is formulated.
