Modern Trends in the Architectural Formation of the Residential Student Environment

Abstract: The article presents scientific and practical materials that made it possible to identify current trends in the formation of the architectural environment of student campuses. The necessity of improvement and modernization of students’ residence halls is conditioned. The classification of student campuses according to the nature of the location of objects relative to urban development, the classification according to their functional and planning structure and architectural and compositional features are revealed. In the work, the authors carried out a comparative analysis of common methods of architectural formation of a residential student environment in domestic and foreign countries. Based on the analysis of publications that affect the experience of creating the environment of student campuses on the basis of universities and beyond, as well as the analysis of world experience in designing this type of objects, the modern requirements for the formation of the infrastructure of a residential student environment are formulated and the main directions for the development of architectural solutions are given.
