Abstract: In this paper, the process of dust propagation from an industrial source in an urban environment is studied. It is noted that a significant factor in the dust dispersion process is the presence of residential buildings located near an industrial facility that are located in the path of dispersion of pollutants. Using the example of the economic activity of an enrichment plant located in an urban area, the calculated values of the maximum surface concentration Cm and the dangerous distance Xm from the emission source «with» and «without» residential development are analyzed. It was found that with an increase in the number of storeys of buildings and their number, the «dangerous» distance of Xm from the emission source to residential buildings is reduced by 4 times, in addition, an increase in the maximum surface concentration of Xm in certain zones is observed.
