Abstract: This article will analyze the existing and potential problems of housing construction from monolithic or precast concrete in the conditions of the Arctic zone of Russia. The result of this work was a conceptually new approach to construction in areas above the 60th degree parallel, for which an innovative design and method for constructing a monolithic residential building in such conditions were proposed. This building design and method of its construction can be used when constructing buildings in areas with severe climatic conditions, strong winds, heavy snowfalls, or in cramped conditions of existing urban development, or on the site of demolished houses, when there is no free territory for placing overhead cranes near the object being erected. Due to the fact that the object under construction is protected from the effects of adverse meteorological factors along the entire perimeter, the use of the proposed solution creates even broader opportunities for its application in the Arctic zone of Russia.

Keywords: Arctic zone buildings, monolithic house construction, harsh climatic conditions, continuous construction technology, scientific and technical support.
