Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of art therapy as one of the most important means of overcoming existing mental and physical disorders in humans. With psychological, medical, ergonomic, technological and other points of view. The authors conducted a study of the creativity of such outstanding contemporary artists as Alison Lapper, Lynn Batham, John Bramblitt and some others. The article provides a brief description of the technology of performance of creative work by people with functional disorders of different nature and severity. Based on the research the conclusion about the importance and expediency of the consideration of creative activity as a means of art therapy, is able to provide substantial assistance in overcoming the existing sensory, physical and mental ailments.
