Formation of Buildings and Structures with Elements of Monumental and Decorative Art in the Cities of Donbass

Abstract: This article considers the problem of forming the architecture of buildings and structures with elements of monumental and decorative art in the cities of Donbas. Its relevance is related to the need to preserve the historical and cultural heritage, parts of which are elements of monumental and decorative art in historical buildings. On the other hand, modern monumental and decorative art also often becomes part of the architecture of buildings and structures and needs to be determined by its place and role in modern and newest architecture. In the process of investigating this problem, the authors determined the degree of study and the measure of its solution in the existing regulatory framework. A scientific and methodological research apparatus has been developed, including the goal, objectives, subject and object of research. At the preliminary stage, the prerequisites for the formation of architecture of buildings and structures with elements of monumental and decorative art in the cities of Donbas have been identified, and modern requirements for them have been determined. Examples of native and foreign architectural practice in this field were considered.
