Improvement of the Methodology for Calculation of Water Consumption Norms Population in the Absence of Water Meters

Abstract: Existing methods for determining water use standards developed by various research institutes and organizations are considered, their advantages and disadvantages are shown. The analysis of the existing water consumption for the population of the city of Donetsk is carried out, the data of water sales to subscribers without water meters for five years are used. The increase in water consumption in 2017 and the uneven distribution in winter and summer periods are revealed. Based on the results obtained, the values of average and maximum specific water consumption by the population for five years were determined. The development of a program for the calculation of drinking water supply standards for the population is presented.
