Abstract: The article considers and analyzes examples of renovation of non-operating industrial enterprises in the world practice. The article draws attention to the main advantages and disadvantages in the course of renovation of inactive industrial areas, as well as the choice of the most rational and suitable industrial facilities for renovation, in terms of architecture and economy of the city. The article presents an overview of the world experience of renovation of non-operating industrial enterprises under the cultural, exhibition, entertainment, social functions.
