Abstract: The results of field observations of the noise conditions in the habitable territory (houses 18, 20, 21, Tupoleva St. of Donetsk) from noise origin of PAO Donetsk Municipal Dairy Plant no. 2 are presented. Air heating systems, ventilation and air conditioning (OVK) are a source of increased noise. The analysis of obtained results of measurement and calculations of sound and sound-pressure levels at the distance of 2 m from residential buildings facades showed that total sound levels exceed regulatory values for day time by 2 dBA and night by 8–12 dBA. Noise-protective constructive decisions (acoustic cover, screen and chamber silencers) are developed for noise control to the standard sizes for each source.

Keywords: noise, noise conditions, dBA, acoustic cover, chamber, screen silencers.
