Abstract: The technique of geodetic control of the sag and the gauge of the wires of overhead power lines with large differences in support heights is considered. It has been established that the definition of the sag at the lowest point of the wire coincides with the sag in the middle of the span. This statement can significantly reduce the amount of field and computational work.
