Abstract: The article is devoted to the selection of methods for waterproofing the floor and boning to the square of oil product tank farms. Existing methods of constructing a protective layer of the floor and fencing of the tank are considered. The influence of the layout of the storage area of tank farms on the complexity and material consumption of design solutions for the installation of a protective layer of the floor and fencing of the caret is revealed. The analysis of normative sources and scientific and technical literature showed the need to develop scientifically based recommendations on the construction of a protective barrier for the caret floor and the fence. It has been established that when designing the protective insulation of the caret floors and tank fencing, recommendations on the isolation of landfills for the disposal and disposal of toxic waste are used. Conclusions are drawn on the need for further studies that would improve the methodology for choosing a rational method for constructing a protective barrier, taking into account the specific layout of the caret of tank farms.
