Use of Large Aggregate from Concrete Scrap in Heavy Concrete

Abstract: The results of studies on the use of heavy concrete scrap in construction are presented. The main indicators of quality of crushed stone received by crushing of scrap of concretes are defined. It is established that the indicators of the received crushed stone from concrete scrap satisfy the requirements of normative documents and allow to use technogenic concrete repeatedly. The properties of heavy concretes with different content of concrete scrap as a large aggregate are investigated. Concrete scrap aggregate can be used in concrete of class B22, 5 (in accordance with the M600 grade for crushing capacity), up to 60% replacing natural mineral materials with secondary ones. It is shown that the introduction of concrete scrap makes it possible to obtain concretes whose properties are comparable to traditional concretes using granite rubble. The use of heavy concrete scrap will allow you to switch to a virtually waste-free technology for the production of reinforced concrete structures.
