Abstract: The article considers factors that influence the formation of the appearance of industrial buildings, in particular, agricultural complexes and enterprises that directly or indirectly perform identical functions and affect the perception of industrial architecture from the standpoint of increasing labor productivity. Currently, the most important task of designing modern agricultural complexes, according to the authors, is the need to create a system of industrial buildings and structures in an organized and aesthetically justified unity. Industrial buildings and structures are elements of a single spatial structure, in which their mutual arrangement, volumetric solution and solution of their internal space are subordinated to the single compositional idea of the architectural organization of this spatial structure, which includes all elements of the environment. This approach to the organization of space in industrial architecture creates the necessary prerequisites for creating conditions that actively affect the growth of labor productivity.
