Abstract: This article discusses an integrated approach to the architectural and spatial reconstruction of residential buildings using monumental and decorative means. The necessary parameters of a residential building are comfort, aesthetics, functionality and energy efficiency. Based on these parameters, the residential building was divided into its constituent elements: enclosing structures (with and without volume change), balconies and loggias, entrance areas, basement, ceilings, roof, ground floor array, stairs. For each element of the building, an analysis of the negative zones was carried out, and ways to eliminate them during the architectural and spatial reconstruction were determined based on the parameters of the residential building. Based on compositional techniques for identifying the shape of a building, it is possible to use one or several options for the architectural and spatial reconstruction of a residential building at all stages of the spatial organization.
