The concept considered by the authors is illustrated within the framework of a broad historical and analytical review of the development of housing architecture in a number of characteristic regions of the world (in particular, in the countries of the Middle East (Iran, Uzbekistan, India), and in the countries of Central, Western and Eastern Europe (Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain), as well as some Far Eastern countries (China, Vietnam, Japan)). Based on the results of the studies, a proposal is made that there are certain dependencies between the cultural and ethnographic features of the mentality of some peoples of the world and the prevailing methods and traditions of the formation of their housing architecture, manifested in the characteristic use of closed (-half closed) spaces and zones.
