Recreational and Tourist Complex Based on an Architectural Monument as an Object of Landscape Design

Abstract: The experience of designing a recreational and tourist complex (RTK) on the basis of an architectural monument of the Penza region is considered. The classification of recreational and tourist complexes by size, functional composition, planning structure is determined. The methodology of pre-project analysis, including historical and cultural surveys, urban planning, landscape and visual analysis, is described; the stages of design are considered. Examples of the development of a recreational and tourist complex on the basis of monuments of various characteristics and significance are given: the Pokrovsky Temple of Nizhny Lomov, built in 1856; the Epiphany Temple of the village of Kopovka, 1885; the Pokrovsky temple of the village of Ust-Karemsha, built in 1888; the Assumption and Nikolsky temples of the village of Poim, Penza region. Conclusions are drawn about the importance of creating recreational and tourist complexes for the development of tourism in the region, the prospects for attracting young people and the development of small urban and rural settlements of the region.
