The Use of Disturbed Territories in the Design of Cultivation Facilities

Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The article considers the main factors affecting the architecture of cultivation facilities: the environment, the innovative technologies used in the design and subsequent cultivation, architectural and structural systems. Donbass is an industrial region, and therefore the issue of the disrupted area is acute in our region. Disturbed anthropogenic territories are damaged lands with a negative impact on the environment, which have lost their natural and economic value due to negative human impact. Many requirements are not taken into account in the restoration of basic functions in the environment, such as energy balance, hydrological characteristics and other problems including biological balance that supports the habitats of biological species and the stability of landscapes. In this regard, the issue of designing cultivation facilities using disturbed areas (terricones) is being considered, as it is an essential task for an industrial region. The task is feasible with a very subtle approach, developing the project at all levels, taking into account all norms and requirements. To achieve positive results, it is necessary to take into account the versatility of the project, environmental friendliness and comfort in usage.
Key words: terricone, cultivation buildings and structures, land reclamation, disturbed lands, typology of crop production facilities, design of vertical farms.

The Main Directions of the Development and Improvement of Volumetric-Spatial Solutions of Agro-Industrial Complexes

Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The scientific work is devoted to determining the main direction of development and improvement of volumetric-spatial solutions of agro-industrial complexes, based on the already established connection between the technological process and the development of a space-planning solution. The main schemes of volume-spatial solutions are formulated on the basis of the already established scheme. A methodological formula for using the basic directions of volume-spatial techniques is proposed. The scientific and practical prospects in the field of improving the volumetric-spatial solutions of agro-industrial complexes are generalized. Agricultural activities occupying large areas of land have an impact on existing natural landscapes. As a result, areas where agriculture is carried out lose their natural character over time. One of the main problems of the sector is that farming is difficult and unprofitable, which leads to the outflow of young people from the villages. The construction of crop complexes that meet modern environmental requirements and the revival of farming is one of the issues currently being discussed in the agro-industrial complex as a part of sustainable development.

Comprehensive Analysis of the Factors Affecting the Landscape and Urban Planning Organization of Recreational Zones

Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The constant development of urban areas in recent decades entails an increase in the number of buildings and structures. Based on this, the need of the population for the formation of new and the preservation of existing recreational areas is increasing. The preservation and enhancement of the natural components of the urban landscape, the provision of a high level of recreational services determine the quality of life of the urban population. There is no systematic, integrated approach to the organization of recreational areas in the structure of urban areas, contributing to the implementation of the principles of environmental sustainability and social orientation of the urban environment. Today, the need for a synthesis of factors influencing the landscape and urban organization of urban recreational areas, ensuring the sustainability of the recreational function, which can become the basis for the formation of such an approach, is obvious. In this paper, various factors were identified and analyzed that affect the landscape and urban organization of recreational areas in the urban environment. The main criteria for the influence of landscape and urban conditions in the design of new or modernization of obsolete urban recreational areas have been formed. Recommendations were proposed for the practical organization of various types of objects of recreational areas in accordance with a comprehensive analysis.

Facilitation of Access to Places of Labor as a Vital Need for the Persons with Low Mobility: Architectural Perspective

Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The article deals with the problem of access to the places of work for people with limited mobility. The authors consider successively some nodal points in the arrangement of disabled people’s routes on the most difficult and unsafe stretches of the road, when such people have to use different means of transport on their own and several times a day. Attention is drawn to the need for appropriate adaptation of urban transfer hubs, which combine several modes of transport simultaneously and can therefore greatly facilitate access for persons with disabilities to their places of work. A number of scientific and practical recommendations and proposals are given for functional zoning and engineering arrangement of some of the most critical sections of the way for the disabled when they use the facilities of this type. On the basis of the stated material, a conclusion is made about the necessity of making appropriate changes to the existing practice of arrangement of low-mobile people’s ways of getting around, who have to use several kinds of transport during their trips to work.
