Abstract. This article discusses an integrated approach to the architectural and spatial reconstruction of residential buildings using monumental and decorative means. The necessary parameters of a residential building are comfort, aesthetics, functionality and energy efficiency. Based on these parameters, the residential building was divided into its constituent elements: enclosing structures (with and without volume change), balconies and loggias, entrance areas, basement, ceilings, roof, ground floor array, stairs. For each element of the building, an analysis of the negative zones was carried out, and ways to eliminate them during the architectural and spatial reconstruction were determined based on the parameters of the residential building. Based on compositional techniques for identifying the shape of a building, it is possible to use one or several options for the architectural and spatial reconstruction of a residential building at all stages of the spatial organization.

Assessment of the Wind Comfort of the Territory when Compacting Residential Buildings with a High-Rise Building

Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The article deals with issues related to the reconstruction of urban territories by compacting existing buildings with high rise buildings. The wind in this paper is considered as a negative phenomenon that occurs with certain architectural and planning errors. Wind comfort in the article is reflected by the Beaufort scale and also adopted in the Netherlands by the NEN 8100 standard, published in 2006. The Beaufort scale gives an estimate of the wind effects on a person on a 9-point scale, and according to the standard NEN 8100, wind comfort is presented in the range from class A to class E. Analysis of existing studies showed that the problem of wind behavior in development is considered by many researchers, but the issue of wind very little attention is paid to the comfort after reconstruction of existing buildings. The article assesses wind comfort, analyzes existing approaches to regulating the wind regime and building aeration, and reveals the prerequisites for further research.
Key words: wind comfort, Beaufort scale, outdoor climate, human environment, building compaction, territory reconstruction, building aerodynamics, assessment of wind regime, wind speed.

Architecture of a Modern Industrial City: Features of Formation and Development

Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The article discusses the state of visual-spatial perception of the urban environment in the industrial cities of the Donetsk – Makeevka agglomeration. Currently, great attention is paid to studying the problems of the visual image of the urban environment and space, requiring quick solutions and the creation of an appropriate scientific basis. The problems of creating a harmonious comfortable environment in the Donbass, taking into account visual perception, can be considered a poorly studied topic. The importance of solving this problem has grown significantly in recent decades. The problem of implementing the principles of visual and spatial rehabilitation of modern industrial cities requires a comprehensive solution. Elongated buildings do not always fit well and successfully into the environment, as design engineers often do not analyze how buildings look from the perspective of a new spatial perception, which eventually becomes negative. The urban environment should be adapted both with the help of urban planning and architectural design, and the use of architectural and design components in the general system of architectural design will create an optimal, artistically integrated, and aesthetically advanced environment.

Features of Forming an Architectural and Compositional Solution of a Modern Agricultural Complex

Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture
Abstract. The article considers factors that influence the formation of the appearance of industrial buildings, in particular, agricultural complexes and enterprises that directly or indirectly perform identical functions and affect the perception of industrial architecture from the standpoint of increasing labor productivity. Currently, the most important task of designing modern agricultural complexes, according to the authors, is the need to create a system of industrial buildings and structures in an organized and aesthetically justified unity. Industrial buildings and structures are elements of a single spatial structure, in which their mutual arrangement, volumetric solution and solution of their internal space are subordinated to the single compositional idea of the architectural organization of this spatial structure, which includes all elements of the environment. This approach to the organization of space in industrial architecture creates the necessary prerequisites for creating conditions that actively affect the growth of labor productivity.
